Southampton's historic Bargate monument is now open to the public. The 800 year old monument stands at the heart of Southampton City Centre. The Bargate, now refurbished and given a new lease of life as a contemporary art gallery and home to the arts organisation 'A Space'. It is open to the public during the following opening hours: Wednesday-Friday 11.00-6.00 Saturday and Sunday 12.00-5.00. Monday and Tuesday is viewing by appointment only. Entry is free. NOTE: The gallery is closed to the public between exhibition dates while the new work is being installed.
